When you've built and run a business, software decisions become business decisions.
Will this make the work easier? Can the team use it? What will it cost to keep it running? These are the questions I bring to engineering.
As the founder of Cash4Books.net, I built the customer-facing applications and internal systems that supported a business that grew to $8 million in annual revenue and 45 employees. Our custom software handled everything from customer relationships to warehouse operations and accounts payable.
I also founded McKenzie Services, a third-party logistics business, and built software for inventory, receiving, shipping, and billing. Those experiences taught me to connect technical choices with the day-to-day realities of running a company.
That's the perspective behind Aptaro: software should solve a real problem, fit the people using it, and leave the business in a stronger position.
